Vishakam the 4th day of Onam celebration
It is considered to be one of the most propitious day. In past time, today there will be crop sale on this day, which will make today one of the busiest days in market. Vishakam will flag up lot of competitions like Pookalam, Vallamkali (the snake boat race) etc. Well-known races include the Aranmula Uthrattadhi Boat Race and the Nehru Trophy Boat Race.
Girls connect themselves
in preparing new designs for Pookalam with flowers of diverse colors and
patterns. It is an attractive vision to see women dressed in their conventional
outfit working on creating Pookalam. They let the cat out of the bag and make joyous
as and at the same time give shape to their creativeness.
