Onam day 6 Thriketa -
Celebrations
Thriketa is the sixth day of the
celebration of Onam. A mood of delight and joy can be felt
among the people of Kerala at this fourth dimension. Edifying programs and
social gatherings areorganized by various cultural societies all over Kerala. Multitude of
all religions caste and creed chip in at these consequences as
the fiesta of Onam has come to be regarded as a worldly festival.
Government of India too celebrates Onam as the National
Festival of Kerala. There are no set rituals marked for the day of Triketta. It
sets the time for homecoming for people staying away from their families for
several causes. Onam is the time for family get together and nobody likes to be
away from family and dear ones. The joy of festivities doubles in the troupe of
kin members and close acquaintances. On this happy note, Pookalam gets a more
beautiful design and sweet flowers.
